Priscilla of Boston throws in the wedding gown

The Boston institution is shutting down at the end of the year:

We take consolation in knowing that our gowns will live in the memories of our customers.

The Globe reports owner David's Bridal is shutting the shop to devote all of its attention to its eponymous - and less pricey - chain.

First to read Priscilla of Boston will be no more saddened me. Then to find out they were owned by DAVID'S? WTF?!?!

Concentrate on your cheap dresses then. Priscilla is better off closing knowing that they were a fantastic brand once....
