South Station Snowdecahedron

Snowdecahedron

Either the guy who sculpted a snowdecahedron in Porter Square a couple weeks back took the Red Line to South Station today or the Kelvans have distilled the entire crew of the Enterprise into a solid. Either way, Jeff Tamagini took the photo.

The entire frame has elements that echo the Snowdecahedron, elements that have recognizable geometric shapes like the bricks on the walk, the T entrance architecture, the Fed on the left and a Congress St building on the right. The black and white format gives geometric and organic shapes similar values, making the composition and contrast even more brilliant. One person in the photo seems quite aware of the photographer while the other is caught mid stride while on the move but ghost-like, in a way that captures the motion of the thousands of commuters who pass that way daily.

I found him last week when Adam showed us the inside shot of the Garden. Went to his blog and really like his stuff. Hopefully, he will influence my pathetic shots. ;-)

Frosty the snow man rolled a 12 and improbably slayed the fire breathing dragon, thus saving his race for 60 more days.
