I wonder what went on

I wonder what went on tonight. I happened to be walking in front of the fire dept near the waterfront when I noticed a bunch of firemen sliding down the pole and running into vehicles. I got out of the way as three engines peeled out and headed towards the north end, followed by some additional emergency vehicles.
