One dead, one injured after speed boat flips over off Boston Light

Scott Eisen, who was fishing nearby, reports the boat "disintegrated when hitting large wave at high speed."
The Coast Guard reports the boat flipped over, sending its occupants into the water:
One Good Samaritan jumped in from another vessel to assist and aided the injured boat operator until local responders arrived.
Both people were rushed to Hull, where one was pronounced dead, the Globe reports.
The Coast Guard reports the accident is under investigation but added it "encourages all boaters to operate their vessels safely these summer months."

Last night I was on a whale
Last night I was on a whale watch and we went past the scene moments after the crash. All I could see was one large piece of debris and then the rest was scattered all over. A Coast Guard boat was speeding towards shore with one of the victims.
Very sad situation.
My family and I were also on
My family and I were also on the tour boat and witnessed the after- accident scene. I felt so badly for the deceased man as he was pulled onto the Coast Guard boat for all to see. Very sad indeed...and... there was very little left of the boat...
