http://www.boston.com/yourtown/news/downtown/2011/... says it was track lubrication grease that probably got ignited by a hot metal fragment from a wheel. What's supposed to keep that from happening?

The breeze from a passing train, or a quick hit from a fire extinguisher usually puts those out without the assitance of the fire department.

I was thinking it was cooking grease from one of those food stands that keep up their Christmas lights year round.
