TSA blocks terror cupcake from flight to Boston

Channel 5 reports a Peabody woman was stopped from bringing a cupcake back to Boston from Las Vegas by an alert TSA agent who felt the frosting was too "gel-like."

That it was "gel-like" at all was pretty amazing since the woman had brought it with her on a flight from Boston to Las Vegas, where she didn't eat it and then, for some reason, decided to bring it back home again, perhaps (althought the article does not state this) because she lives on the North Shore and the cupcake was from Wicked Good Cupcakes all the way down on the South Shore.

The fact that she didn't eat the cupcake is the most suspicious thing to me. I mean, really?

She started out with two cupcakes (which she had no problem getting through security at Logan.) She ate one on her flight to Las Vegas and decided to save the second one for the return flight to Boston, only to find that the security team in Las Vegas were determined to outperform Logan in Security Theater ridiculousness.

I'll always remember back in the 1990s flying up to Ottawa to go ice skating (Rideau Canal, the largest skating rink in the world, or so they claim.) It was a week-end trip, so I packed light. On the trip home, I was stopped at the Ottawa airport and told that I was not allowed to bring my ice skates on the plane, as they could be used as weapons. Yet in Boston I was allowed go through security with them, and they were not in a bag when I carried them.

So, I could see how she could get through Boston but not through Las Vegas. Still, cupcake frosting as a threat? I dunno. If I were TSA, I would have made her take a bite to ensure there was nothing funny with them. Or better yet, make her give me a bite.

Mmmm! Cupcakes!

The horrifying spectre of modern (pastry) TERROR CANNOLI has yet to be neutralized at Logan Armpit. My aunt carried two of the filled frights through en route to Oregon. Neither has the impending cupcake of terrorist doom, as my husband handed me one of JannaBee's specials from the local farmer's market as I headed through security, and they said it was cool.

It didn't make it past the gate, however, because I ate it.

Ok, fine, it's too gel-like. But was it seriously more than 3.4 oz of frosting???

This cupcake fiasco may seem like a joke but it's not. This is a symptom of the further encroachment on the daily lives of American citizens. Ron Paul is the only candidate that wants to roll back the infringements on our lives.

On Paul's chopping block are the Departments of Energy, Commerce, Interior, Education, and Housing and Urban Development. He would privatize the Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Security Administration while freezing spending for most other departments. He also plans to repeal President Obama's signature healthcare law, as well as the Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley financial regulations.

The only candidate who is sane and insane at the same time.

The ones with his name on them that he denies writing with their charming views on blacks and people with AIDs.

Ron Paul doesn't want to kill Muslims. Ron Paul wants non-violent blacks released from prisons. Ron Paul has delivered the babies of minority women for free. Ron Paul wants the government out of the marriage business, paving the way for gay marriage. Ron Paul voted to make Martin Luther King, Jr. Day a national holiday in 1979. As for the Civil Rights Act; Ron Paul doesn't believe in collectivism, he believes in individualism. He doesn't believe that any one group should have special privileges over any other group. He has disavowed those newsletters. Is there anything in his record that shows anything close to a shred of racism in his record? The answer is a resounding no.

Yeah, but I want to hear his statement on the all-important terror frosting. What's his position? WHAT'S HIS POSITION?

Oh, and thank you for spamming us with your inane, tangential injection, to create yet more hits for his name on the interwebs...

Those there are some big words you're using! And you are wrong. This article has everything to do with Ron Paul and our personal freedoms. Ron Paul wants to abolish the TSA. And here's a good video:

yes he wants to roll back the evil TSA. And the evil Civil Rights Act. We need Ron Paul to protect us from the government telling us not to base our hiring on racial stereotypes.
