In early April of 1978 when John Wayne underwent heart surgery at MGH, someone scrawled a similar message, "Get Well Duke" that he (and all) could see from the hospital windows. I forget if they did it in the snow that was left over after the Blizzard of '78 or if it was a painted sign, but this reminded me of it.
