Who is Annie Mulz? Sticker Plague

I've started seeing "Who is Annie Mulz" stickers all over my neighborhood. On signs, signposts, mailboxes, and so on.
A quick search shows me that Annie Mulz is an edgy clothing store on Newbury Street. By edgy, I mean the kind of place that looks like it might hire a publicity firm that might carry out a guerrilla marketing campaign that plasters stickers all over the place, all while being plausibly deniable and non-liable for damages and cleanup. This kind of thing makes our neighborhoods ugly and pisses me off. Does anyone have better insight into this problem...

The sticker campaign worked. All publicity is good publicity and while I haven't seen any of the stickers, you just told me about them...and now I know this place exists (and even what it sells).

In fact, a more conspiratorially-minded person than myself might suggest that by posting this here, you're not a concerned citizen worried about a bunch of stickers in your neighborhood but a plant from the very kind of guerilla marketing crew that would plaster stickers everywhere for a high-end clothing shop on Newbury St... ;)

I carry a single-edge scraper just for the purpose of removing shit like this. A pair of needle-nosed snippers, too, for clipping the zip-ties that hold those Single? Call Now! signs on light poles and street signs.

Anyway, your oh-so-community-mindedness is a notch more evolved than mine. I like the scraper/snippers idea. It must be pretty bad around Fenway. We've got a cool cat around here who likes to write "MEOW" on everything with a black Sharpie magnum. What would you recommend doing about that?

Remove them

In our neighborhood, we mainly remove things like that as quickly as possible. It's like graffiti--people want to come back and admire what they've done. It's discouraging for them if their handiwork disappears rapidly. It is possible to call Code Enforcement (617-635-4896) and ask them to come and inspect and issue a violation for the signs, but especially if the source of the flyers or stickers isn't apparent, it's easier and more satisfying to just make them all disappear yourself.

How about a flash mob appear at the Anniemals store carrying a large assortment of random stickers. Sticker all the windows and the door, then disperse.

Shepard Fairey was arrested

Shepard Fairey was arrested by Boston Police for doing the same, it will be interesting to see if they arrest the owner of this store or if a Newbury street upscale shop is different. Since Shepard sells a lot of merch, it doesn't seem like it should be.
