In addition to Roslindale murder, South End shooting victim also had possible tie to violent arrest in Dorchester

The Herald reports a link between the man fatally shot by police in the South End on Tuesday and a man taken into custody only after a violent struggle in Dorchester on Saturday - the Cadillac both men were driving before being stopped by police.

The Herald says part of the police investigation into the events that led to Burrell Ramsey-White being fatally shot by a police officer on Tuesday will involve what he was doing in that beige Cadillac, the same one being driven by Jurrell Laronal in Dorchester when he was also ordered out by police on Saturday and eventually placed under arrest after, police say, he almost got hold of one officer's gun. Police say Laronal had vowed not to go back to prison, from which he'd recently been released after a sentence for beating jail guards.

Police have also said Ramsey-White was at a Roslindale house party that ended with four people shot, one fatally.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office is currently investigating the use of force by police in both the South End and Dorchester incidents.
