Water-main break prevents drivers from entering Andrew

A water main broke around 5 p.m. on Southampton Street, sending water gushing into the Andrew T stop, buckling the road and causing headaches for area motorists and police officers trying to keep them away from Andrew Square.

The Boston Fire Department reports the main was shut off, but now Southampton will have to be dug up and the T will have to re-route buses. The Red Line stop is back open for business.
