Brookline tags East Boston man as graffiti desperado
By adamg on Mon, 07/30/2012 - 8:18pm
Wicked Local Brookline reports the arrest of Christopher Michael Levett on charges he's the guy who's been marking the town up for months with "Phop." Wicked Local reports a key break came when police talked to his ex-girlfriend, who allegedly broke up with him because he was spending all his nights scribbling in Brookline.
Even as police hunted Phop, the town's vigilante graffiti fighter was busy combatting him in his own way.

The Brookline vigilante
The Brookline vigilante graffiti fighter made me smile. I love this Town.

That bridge is in my hood - the vigilante and the tagger must have been very busy lately, because I hadn't noticed the tags nor their removal.
Nice job by the vigilante and the BrPD, although it would have been slightly cooler if another vigilante had stumbled upon this idiot and broken each finger on his tagging hand.
wow
Wow.. the gf broke up with him because he was scribbling too much? LOL
Wow. Graffiti vs Getting sum regular ass.. sounds like someone had a scribbling problem. It must be the fumes from the spray paint.. heh

Phop?
Anyway. Gosh, I would love it if the judge whacked him a big fat fine to cover the cost of removing his crap and also directed him to spend, oh, six months helping to remove the crap of others.
Indeed
My thought as well - that stupid "Phop" tag is all over Allston and Brigham Circle, and I'd love to see him forced to put in community service time removing graffiti & stickers in those neighborhoods.
Deeeesperado...
"Desperado...you been out taggin fences...."
Guess he shoulda let somebody love 'em...
Ex-G.F.s
are a menace. And it looks like his boy ratted him out, too.
Phop, AKA Nugs Bunny, is living the thug lifestyle.
Phonetics?
Is it "fop" or "p-hop", either way the kid should grab a brush and start cleaning. I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that our "artist" perfected his trade in East Boston before he took it on the road. BPD might want to have a look around...
Phop is a phlop
Haven't noticed this tag around Eastie, but then again, most graffiti of that ilk ("phunky fonts!") just sort of wafts past me without me really noticing it anymore. Just part of the urban background noise. There are a couple of silhouettes in Eastie that seem kind of cool in a Banksy sort of way. There's one in Neptune Square.
Another Dumb Criminal
"At first Levett denied he was “Nugs,” but he quickly changed his tune when police confronted him with mountains of evidence."
Shut your trap and let your lawyer handle the questions.
My god, people are fucking stupid. And no it has nothing to do with age, I knew that by 14.
