Driver cut out of vehicle after South Boston rollover

The Boston Fire Department reports a five-vehicle pile up around 11:10 a.m. at the Broadway bridge left one van on its side and the driver trapped inside. Firefighters cut out the windshield to get him out for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
In addition to the van, a box truck and an SUV had minor damage; two cars had front-end damage.

Broadway Bridge
It is not the Broadway Bridge. It was renamed several years ago for the late Dist 2 City Councilor James Kelly who was a life long South Boston resident.
Most people outside Southie could not identify 'Kelly Bridge'
so better to use the generally understood name for UHub's metro-area-wide audience.

Jimmy Kelly Bridge
You can say what you want. It is the former Broadway bridge and it is the James Kelly bridge whether you like it or not. He was what he was but he was an elected offical for the (District 2) City Council for Chinatown and South Boston for many years until his passing. It is what is deal with it. A life long South Boston resident that remembers the former old Broadway Bridge.
Southie Pride, Yeah!
Jimmy Kelly, everything Southie used to stand for: Ignorant. Narrow. Angry. Big chip on his shoulder. Thank God times have moved on.

You can say what you want EEKA, but Jimmy Kelly was an advocate for ALL people so long as they were not sacrficing the rights of one group to satisfy the other.

First, who cares is he was an elected official. All that means is a bunch of people were either fooled into voting for him or were ignorant. Second, we are dealing with it....by calling it the Broadway Bridge.

Equal is the new unfair when it comes to eliminating unearned birth privileges.
Example: People who insist that their rights have been taken away because Adam and Steve and Madam and Eve can marry now, as it makes straight marriages not special anymore.
