Firefighters douse flaming boat, mailbox on the waterfront

Boston firefighters were called to Long Wharf twice this afternoon to battle fires on a boat, the Equity, docked there. Around 5:45 p.m., they had to respond to 402 Atlantic Ave., just north of Northern Avenue, to put out a mailbox that had caught on fire somehow.
