First snow of the season

Granted, it's atop Mt. Washington, but never fear, the National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for eastern Massachusetts for tonight:
THOSE WITH AGRICULTURAL INTERESTS ARE ADVISED TO HARVEST OR PROTECT TENDER VEGETATION. ALSO...POTTED PLANTS NORMALLY LEFT OUTDOORS SHOULD BE COVERED OR BROUGHT INSIDE AWAY FROM THE COLD.

First Snow? The guys at
First Snow? The guys at Famous Internet Skiers were skiing down Stowe last weekend http://www.famousinternetskiers.com/systems-test/.
I was going to cite to Jay, but Stowe is fine too!
Same day at Jay:

In any case, I'm looking forward to the assasination of millions of insects and to (hopefully) the beginning of a real New England winter - unlike that sorry excuse of last year.
Also, the NWS has upgraded to a Freeze Warning (as in an-end-of-the-growing-season "hard freeze") for everywhere except the immediate southern and eastern coasts and in the urban heat islands of Boston and Providence. It will be interesting to see what I get down to near the Boston/Brookline/Newton border. My gut tells me that my remaining impatients are toast.
Thanks for that link
That's a good crew, doing lots of good stuff
