How does one find out about these types of things? I mean, after missing this as well as the cliff-diving championships of last summer, I'm beginning to think I need to be reading more events calendars... but where?
You sure don't want to miss that. Looks like the time of their lives...
Reading (really) local news like UHub and the Boston Metro (available FREE online and in print) and I know there's some other great sources of this sort of 'whats going on?' type local news but those are my go to sources for things to go and see, and photograph (shameless plug here, my photos from the pillow fight, it was definitely a nice change from chasing down spot news http://www.flickr.com/photos/brianjdamico/sets/72157629765290177/ )
but this year's was moved to the North End to be closer to PAX East and Anime Boston.
To be exactly, the past two years have been at Cambridge Common. Before that, they moved around. It does seem they have taken a liking to Cambridge Common, so I won't be surprised they go back to it next year even though the original tradition was to change location each year.
Unless, of course, next year also have something akin to having two conventions that have overlapping demographics again. It must have been an Epic weekend for some of them (not as much for me, apparently my friends still living in Boston either didn't have the time or had no interest in Anime, Games, or participating in a 1000-man pillow fight. I need more nerdy friends).
