Andy Woodruff at Bostonography dug up a 1911 copy of Life magazine (the original Life, not the Time-Life Life) that focused on Boston. Also see his earlier discussion of a Boston map that predates the more famous Steinberg cartoon about New York.

Redistricting maps needed labelled with bordering streets' names

Boston City Council conceals full robust information as usual with 2012 Redistricting maps that don't label the names of the Districts' bordering streets so its easy to tell where at what street a District ends and the next District begins. Decision makers and stakeholders study this without properly labelled maps!
