Hyde Park's last Jamaican restaurant shuts

Drifters, which took over an old dive bar on Hyde Park Avenue last year, has shut down. Following the closing of African Cuisine - which also served Jamaican food - and Konteki Kitchen, the shutdown means a drive over to Mattapan for anybody who wants some Jamaican food.

Folks I know from the Caribbean like three remaining Logan Square Caribbean/Afrocentric/Haitian combo restaurants. El Rancho, Las Vegas Seafood (eh?), and Rincon Caribeno all thrive there.
