If there were an Alleged Dumbass of the Week competition, this guy would probably be a finalist

Boston Police report a Charlestown man sent on his way for being a pain in the ass in an apartment on Corey Street in Charlestown early this morning got himself arrested when, police say, they found him breaking into a cruiser outside and stealing a roll of yellow crime-scene tape.

When asked about the crime scene tape, the suspect stated, "I broke into the police car and if the keys were in it ... I would have taken it."

The guy, at an age where you might think one would be over such things, will be arraigned Tuesday on a charge of breaking and entering a motor vehicle.

Not a dumbass until proven otherwise.
