Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at a six-family three-decker at 4 Theodore St.
The Boston Fire Department reports two residents were taken to local hospitals, one with burns. Two firefighters were also taken to the hospital, one with a broken wrist, after a chimney collapsed.
The department says the fire started in a first-floor bedroom but did much of its damage on the second and third floors. The cause of the fire, which did an estimated $400,000 damage, is under investigation.
