Mission Hill to get second Dunkin' Donuts

The Boston Licensing Board yesterday approved a food-serving license for a Dunkin' Donuts opposite the Roxbury Crossing T stop, over the opposition of the local neighborhood association, the mayor's office and City Councilor Mike Ross, who argued Tremont Street already had enough places to get coffee.

Joel and Janel Silveira, who will own the franchise, already operate another Dunkin' Donuts on the other side of the hill, in Brigham Circle.

People taking risks putting in businesses in 10 year vacant storefronts and bettering neighborhoods, deserve all the support they can get!

Blight is bad for everybody, except apparently Mike Ross.

Thank you Mike Ross for making sure there are not too many places to get coffee. Socialist dick.

Dunkin' Donuts is just a crappy chain now? I guess not?! Their donuts are not nearly as good as they were about 20 years ago.

But the derelict storefront has been empty for 10 years. Plus it's being put in by locals that are franchising.

Local owners, and taking a risk. Better then shuttered windows..
