The Tech reports on MIT's latest plans for the area around its campus, from extending the Infinite Corridor to building a new residential tower on Sidney Street. Also in the works: A "river walk" from Kendall Square to the Charles.
An extension of the Infinite Corridor from E25 to E53 would not just replace parking lots. It would also cut off 3 streets (Carleton, Hayward, and Wadsworth). Never mind that the existing Infinite is on the other side of Ames.
Long buildings blocking former streets that used to allow outdoor pedestrian circulation are one of Kendall's biggest problems. I hope they don't make it worse.

"Outdoor extension of the Infinite Corridor"
is what the Tech article says. I'm not entirely sure what that means.
