North End mother takes action against suburban ne'er-do-wells bespoiling the Prado

She dials 911 to break up the crowd of drinking, pissing, sexed-up teens from God knows where at the very heart of the North End.

She witnessed "public displays of affection". The horror!

She said "urinating" instead of "pissing". Perhaps she used "pda" as a euphemism for "feeling up and dry humping"?

Even if she didn't, and is more uptight about kissy-kissy than you (or me, for that matter), I think the public urination and underage drinking kind of justify her level of upset, don't you?

(Oh, and Dizzo - she didn't say exactly where they were from, she said they weren't locals. That just means she knows the kids that live in her neighborhood. Guess what - so do I, so do a lot of grownups who pay attention to their surroundings and have some local pride. I can probably identify about 50% of the tweens/teens who live within a half mile of Rosi Square, for example. That's because I've seen them around since they were babies. With their moms at the grocery stores, at the barber shop with their dads, walking to school or waiting for a bus in the morning, playing ball on the side streets, sledding at Fallon Field, at the farmers market or getting ice cream with their friends at Jimmies, etc etc.)

Don't be silly. You'd be lucky to identify half of the kids within a four block radius. Unless you're stalking kids.

When you have kids, you notice the other kids in your neighborhood. We're pretty neighborly here in Rosi and we talk to each other on the street when we pass on the way to the store or when putting out the trash or shoveling the sidewalk. I don't know everyone's names, but I can recognize who's from my general neighborhood.

I also know most of the dogs and several of the cats within four blocks.

Perhaps, NotWhitey, you should get out more? And not just proceed directly to your car.

She said there were more than 200 teens there and she didn't see any kids she knew. That's no neighborhood gathering. That's a group that doesn't care what they leave behind because they don't live there.

The prado is my back yard actually, and public displays of affection or not, these guys were loud! It was around 10 or 10:30 and I just figured it was some part of the religious festival this weekend. It's okay when locals make tons of noise, but not when you're from elsewhere.
