Northeastern might get a Popeyes where the Chick-fil-A was going to go

The Huntington News reports student government has given the OK for a proposed Popeyes in the student-center space originally set aside for Chick-fil-A.

The News reports a Student Government Association poll found more support for Popeyes than two competing fried-chicken chains suggested by university officials and that Popeyes business practices gave students nothing to cluck about.

It really bums me out that as NEU gets tons of flack for allowing students to "take over" Mission Hill and for the encroachment into Roxbury, the university looks for large corporate chains to fill their dining spaces rather than local businesses.

Does Northeastern 'look for large corporate chains?' While they do it, do they twirl the ends of their moustache and say 'Bwahahaha?'

Or do you think just maybe that they look for the best company to provide their students with what they want at the best price point?

Knowing Northeastern and their incredible love of money over all else, they probably do exactly as you say (moustache twirling and all).

Why don't they fix their screwed up night program instead?

Local, you mean like

-Boloco
-Espresso Royale
-Schwarma King
-Temptations
-Betty's Wok or whatever crap
-Whatever 2-3 crappy pizza places are around there

So....what are we arguing about again?

Oh right, dumb students who wanted Chik-Fil-A but then didn't realize they were religious...but hey Qdoba is ok because it is from the same company as Jack in the Box, and just as bad for you?

I for one welcome another Popeeyes. Will this one be filled with white kids whose cholestoral will require life line healthcare?

Nope, it'll just be filled with the top of the Red Sox rotation putting on a solid 25 pounds a pop for the Wild Card chase. Extra Wild Card spot this year means Extra Crispy in the home team clubhouse.
