Not a Globe to be had in the South End

Yes, some people still prefer their news on paper. South Ender Michael Ratty reports he didn't find a copy of the Globe outside his apartment this morning and his neighborhood 7-Eleven didn't have any, either.

When you mess up my morning newspaper and coffee routine, you deny me everything. EVERYTHING!

UPDATE: At 9:30, the Globe tweeted: "We apologize for the late papers today. Due to a production problem last night the paper is late for home and retail."

And if you try to call their customer service number, it's busy. I've called this number a lot and it has never been busy.

my office didn't get a wall street journal OR a globe this morning. granted, we have the 'dewey cheatum and howe' delivery company, so not actually getting our papers isn't exactly uncommon, but seems to be there's a much wider issue.

on a slightly related note: im looking for a new (and hopefully reliable--as in more than 3 days per week) company to deliver papers to our office. anyone have a company they'd like to share that they particularly like?

Or are they involved in the distribution chain? Ours wasn't at our office front door this morning, the first time I can remember that happening.

No home deliveries in Malden, too, for any paper for that matter. No Globes, Heralds or Journals. Is this what happens when one company/paper distributes all of them?

My Globe is usually delivered promptly at 6:15 here in Stoneham, today it wasn't until 7:45 - something must have happened to their whole delivery system. I am curious..
