What? No...

Egelston Square? Castle Island? Bunker Hill Street? Time lapse of the corner of Morton and Blue? Oh, that's right,Boston is just the Back Bay and Fanueil Hall! How foolish of me to think otherwise!

and I do mean this in the nicest way possible...

If you're so pissed off that most neighborhood in Boston were not included then maybe instead of bitching about it to the people who had nothing to do with it (namely the readers of UHub) why don't you get off your lazy whining online ass and make one yourself!

Tilt-shift

This is (simulated) tilt-shift perspective ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilt_shift#Miniature_faking ) - note the depth-of-field effect to make everything look like a model railroad layout. It's hard to do tilt-shift without being very high up. I'm pretty sure all of these were done at the Prudential Center's observation deck. That's why it's all Back Bay (and Fenway and Charles River basin - sorry, didn't catch Faneuil Hall in the mix). I don't think they could have achieved the same effect at any of the sites you mention because none offer a high place to photograph from.

Hey Diorama, You are in fact

Hey Diorama,

You are in fact correct my friend (I made the video). I can't afford a good tilt shift lens (around 3,000 dollars) so each image was batch processed for tilt shift with an increase in saturation. And yes, I did take this from the top of the hub across two days.

I apologize if I offended anyone by not getting other parts of Boston. Not many other buildings I can get an elevated shot (where they would also let me set up a tripod for hours).

All taken from Prudential

All taken from Prudential Tower by the looks of it...without the use of a super telephoto lens. So take it easy bub.

My apologies...

I should never post after I read the latest Boston Magazine...my bad.

Reading is dangerous

Don't read. Just watch YouTube videos & TV sitcoms. Makes life easier.

how's North Reading?
