There was plenty of police presence last evening at both JFK and Savin Hill - multiple cruisers outside each station. News coverage too - there was a Channel 25 truck at JFK when I was coming home from work and then a Channel 7 truck when I was coming home from the Celtics game.

At about 10:40, the cruiser parked on Sydney St. near the JFK entrance had its lights blaring, so while I doubt they were going to catch anyone unless they were very stupid and wanted to try to rob someone in clear view of the police literally announcing their presence, they were certainly creating an effective deterrent.

I mean, it's not like the police send large numbers to create high visibility and then melt away when the spotlight shifts, right? Remember those 2 days of "intense traffic enforcement" around Longwood?

...And this is why I pay $5 a day to park at North Quincy instead of walking a little over a mile from the Ashmont station to Freeport St.
