I don't hear anything amazing in their music, their lyrics, their rhythm (so monotonous...) and to top it all off they're wearing Anaheim Angels and Kansas City Royals hats. You can't even say "well, they didn't want to wear Red Sox gear because they wanted to do something more fashionable for the video"...because, "Royals"? Really?
Good luck to them, but I don't see it going anywhere at this point.
Hey um just a thought but maybe they wanted their hats to match their outfits so they just do happened to wear those teams. Regardless, you shouldn't hate on someone for the team that's on their hat. But hey, that's just me dude!
Dodgers on the left, UNC on the right would match.
Hating on people because of the team on their hat is the whole point of identifying via putting a team on your hat in the first place. There are plenty of hats in this world that don't have sports teams on them.
This video was posted to get their music out, not their opinion on who is a better sports team. So as I said before, you shouldnt judge them because of the team that's on their hat but rather the words that are coming out of their mouths.
...then why put out a video? It's all tied together. Why does it matter that they're from Southie? It's part of their image too. It's not like they don't know how to rep Boston.
Also, most of their first album is on YouTube (uploaded by them). Some of that is better than this particular song.
You do realize that great hip hop has nothing to do with sports, right? Those novelty tracks are basically an admission that you're going nowhere else. That may be fine for dudes like Macklemore in Seattle, but these guys may be dreaming bigger.
I will say it takes a few stones to put your art out for the world to criticize and mock as much as admire and applaud.
They're young, and it takes time to hone the craft. No need to dismiss them for such petty aesthetic reasons as their clothing. Perhaps they're trying to avoid the inevitable Southie/Boston Irish cliche.
I kinda like it. It's not bad, they've got a long way to go, but it's well-produced, the beat is good, and their lyrics are decent. They'll open for some other acts, maybe go somewhere. I just hope they don't get tooooo cocky.
haha you're comment seemed more into actually trying to appreciate the work so figured you may be interested in hearing more so check their website out if you want too www.perfbro.com
Apparently you think you know everything don't you. However, you do not because If you did you would know that both these guys work almost 50+ hours a week. So you should probably quit running your mouth about things you know nothing about. they work hard and pay for everything on their own unlike these other wanna-be's whose mommy and daddy just hand them anything and everything they want.
just checked out your blog. you really have no right to call someone else a dick.the big hand of the clock has just passed twelve so i have to go listen to some fugazi and ride my bike.

Image matters

If the image they portray doesn't matter...

New music is broken on youtube now
That's why you post a music video there.

Better than I expected
I thought this would be just another silly white-boys-doing-rap thing, but it is not bad at all. Good luck to them.
Not bad, guys
This isn't terrible. Really honest and none of that "We so dope, we at a party you ain't invited to" shit. Keep at it, boys.
Not terrific, but not
Not terrific, but not terrible, either.

Not Southie
This has nothing to do with Southie except that it was filmed there. Just like the Yuppies who claim to be "from" Southie...........not new news.
You know what else is not new...
Interjecting an anti-yuppie comment into every single story related to Southie.
As for the music, I thought they did a good job. Keep it up boys!
they're actually both born
they're actually both born and raised in the projects of southie the tall 1 is from D street and the short 1 is from OHP
southie rappers
embarrassing. how old is that big kid? get a job homie. go home and get your shine box.
That's a bit presumptuous
How do you know he doesn't have a job? Don't be a dick. What do you do?
Shut your face

poser.
Takes bow
Not sure how bikes and Fugazi make me a "poser," but I'm also not sure you know what words mean.
I'll repeat, what do you do, or since we're in an Ian Mackaye mood, "what the f*ck have you done?"
Not too shabby
Generally not a huge hip-hop fan here but this is pretty solid. Good luck to you guys!
Thought for sure I wasn't
Thought for sure I wasn't going to like it. But I did. Good luck to them.
p.s. Lose the fake bling on the ears.
