Matthew in Boston happened upon this scene in the North End:
License plate "TOWNIE" parked on a sidewalk.
What can I say? Too perfect, really.

Townie refers to a native of Charlestown....so wonder if this guy is a. trespassing in the North End; or b. a poser.
i'm going with answer "a" because of the parking job...
which Townie?
The car has an orange transponder which indicates the resident discount deal. So I guess that means Eastie or Winthrop? Do North End folks get that too? Are the Tobin Bridge resident discount transponders also orange? That would cover Charlestown and Chelsea.
I am just suprised
That it is not an Cadillac Escalade, or Dodge (product)maybe Ram
Just connect the N and I ...
and you get TOWME
It's normal...
That's in front of the Elliot K-8 school on Charter Street. As there is no parking parents park on the sidewalk while they drop off kids. Happens 5 days a week during morning drop off and afternoon pickup. I'd love to have neighborhood schools instead of the lottery system and not need to do the Boston Road Rage Rally every morning to drop off in the North End myself!
Charlestown residents also
Charlestown residents also get the discount.
The car belongs to a person who lives on Chappie Street in Charlestown. For those of you who don't know, Chappie street is full of single family homes of ex-city employees. You park on their street, you get your tires slashed. The park like this because they know everyone in city government. They ain't getting a ticket. :)
WOW I didn't realize Chappie
WOW I didn't realize Chappie Street was such a rough neighborhood.
