West Roxbury school quickly gets new principal

Jenna Cramer, the assistant principal at the Joyce Kilmer, is now the principal, replacing Jerome Doherty, who remains in some sort of administrative limbo in which he has no position after being yanked from the Kilmer for reasons that have not been made public.

The headmaster you are thinking of is Rodney Peterson, not Jerome Doherty. Please check your facts before you accuse someone of something so awful that has nothing to do with them.

I recently watched a documentary, was it Waiting For Superman, in which New York City teachers in administrative limbo still show up for work every day and go to a special classroom and just sit there and collect pay because the city can't fire them because of the unions. I wonder if Boston has a similar classroom?
