Wind knocks down tree branches across city

Citizens Connect has several reports of tree damage from last night's storm, including this tree on wires on Ansonia Road in West Roxbury and this snapped tree on wires off Clarendon Street in the South End.

Has Citizens Connect turned into
tattling to Mommy?
Do grown-ups really not understand that when a tree falls on the POWER lines, you call the POWER company?
Depends
Depends on which call and who owns what. Yes, call the power company, but if it's a city tree: Will the power company trim the tree, or wait for the city to take the tree down and then fix the power lines?
The clarendon alley CC call is a double whammy. Those are cable and phone lines, not electric. Not sure how concerned the city is that you might lose internet - although they may just forward the call to Comcast & Verizon. However the tree itself is on private property, so the city isn't going to do anything about the tree. So that one really is a wasted CC call. :)
I would call both 911 and the electric company
I don't think I'd bother with Citizens Connect or 311 -- this kind of stuff needs immediate attention.
