It's worth remembering that the magazine now known as The Atlantic was founded in BOSTON in 1857 and then decamped to DC in 2005. Even in the age of the intertoobz, the current publisher wanted physical propinquity to the movahs and shakahs in the Nation's Capital. Jack Beatty declined to make the move.
