BPS has new service for parents: Wake-up calls
By adamg on Thu, 10/10/2013 - 6:27am
There he was, at the other end of the line at 6:03 a.m.: BPS Robocall Guy, alerting us that school buses are rolling in the city of Boston today, but cautioning that, as parents, we should continue to maintain contingency plans, just in case.
The Globe reports the bus company has put two union leaders on leave.

Seriously! At least 2 calls a day now for 3 days in a row. It's getting to be a bit annoying.

yes-- its ridiculous. A 6 am call every morning designed to incite panic over a situation that no longer exists and, i assume, to incite anger at the bus drivers. The city should spend some time trying to resolve the outstanding labor dispute instead.
Not quite over
The Globe reports this morning:
Someone must not..
Someone must not want their job too badly.... Union says "Go back to work", and they refuse to listen.
Particularly Annoying In our House
It's particularly annoying here at Chez KellyJMF where our kid does not actually take a yellow bus to school because she's expected to take the T. And I would love an app that tells where my kid's bus is in real time, but the T can't be bothered to tag the particular 34 bus that is the only run that goes all the way to her school.
So thanks for waking up the one member of my household who could have slept in and telling me again about services that we can't use.

Call customer service, it could have been an oversight when they setup NextBus system.
I've called a few times for incorrect stops. I recently called because the 112 was listed as going somewhere it did not go via the map view. (down a one way street)

Roboguy called today to promise he's not gonna call me anymore unless he has something important to tell me. Thank God!
