The MBTA has shut down the Orange, Red and Blue lines. A shuttle bus will be making all stops of all three lines.

is the sound of Howard Lawrence Carr laughing maniacally and rubbing his grubby hands together with glee.

up

is Carr sneakily cornering Carney and saying "Hey, you know I can up the deal I gave Martorano by a few points if you can get Whitey to put me on his visitors list. I mean as long as there's two inches of glass between us". Scumbag that Carr is, I'll bet I'm not far from reality....

The other sound you hear is the ass muscles of a few hundred dirty politicians and government employees preparing to shit themselves if Whitey starts talking about all the favors he did. His rat bastard brother foremost on that list.

is Howie sweating relief now that he can milk this nonsense for at least another couple of months.

In addition to author, he had a job with the MWRA, and is now out on disability. He went right back to playing the system.

...as he'll be back in court for his sentencing in November in front of the same judge, correct? Assuming he doesn't die in prison beforehand, which thankfully sounds like where he will be for the rest of his days regardless.

goes to WBZ radio - who spent almost 20 minutes reminding their listeners that "the jury had reached a verdict, but we don't know what that verdict is yet because it hasn't been announced."

Sadly, I was forced to endure this nonsense thanks to a co-worker, who still hasn't figured out that perhaps it's not the best idea to place his radio on top of books on a shelf (instead of on his desk like everyone else in the office does), so that the sound then broadcasts across the cubicle walls instead of into his cubicle.

for the record, I've discussed this issue in the past with my co-worker's boss, and provided the obvious solution (i.e. put the radio on the d@^^ desk). The volume goes down for a few days, but eventually is increased. Perhaps it's time for another talk, especially as we are about to relocate to new cubicles in a month or so.

...many years ago back when he was young and foolish shot a radio with a nailgun. Problem solved.

He did in fact keep the drugs out of Southie, namely heroin and PCP. Marijuana is not a drug.

Neither is cocaine, right?

Whitey who carried my mom's groceries home or a Yuppadoodle who wouldn't tell you that your hair was on fire?

A murdering thug who helped bring drugs into his own neighborhood and ratted out his own or somebody whose face you don't like because they haven't lived on your block their entire life?

that if your mother ever saw Whitey do anything that could come back on him, there would have been one less person at Christmas dinner that year. Oh, but he was a stand up guy, though.

My yuppie friends and I made Southie, no wait, SoBo.....what it is today.

You're welcome.

Yeah, about that yuppification of Southie. I see it in dribs and drabs but don't fool yourself into thinking Southie will ever be more than what it is. It will always be South Boston; it will never be the Back Bay.

I couldn't care less about which Southie it is. I just get a good chuckle about you kids boasting about yourselves and your awesomeness. Now I've stopped laughing and I'm yawning.

is you and your foolish Yuppie friends made me rich. Every time you fools buy a "luxury" condo from me, I get a commission. I know you'll be selling it in a few years, when you decide you can't hack city living, and you sell. Cha.....ching! another commission.
I leave my Land Rover home and show you properties in my Toyota so you have trust in me.
Call me when you want to sell.

R.E. - what do you get in commission for each sale? 15K? 30K? My crew pisses that away in Vegas in a weekend. For someone who grew up in Southie, I could see why you would get excited about earning that.

I'll call you when I sell and will double your commission out of sympathy.

Maybe the civilized people moving into your neighborhood wouldn't hate you so much if you didn't voice your admiration for savages, or praise "the good old days" when the neighborhood considered it acceptable to violence and intimidation to claim a friggin' parking space on a public street.

I'm an old guy, not a yuppadoodle, but, having heard you defend Whitey, I for sure wouldn't tell you if your hair were on fire, nor would I help you by pissing on it to put the fire out.

it's probably because you crossed Whitey in some way.

"One thing is true," followed by the biggest lie you apparently ever believed. Just exactly how ignorant are you?

When I lived in the Bunker Hill projects , about the same time Whitey was still running things , PCP in the form of Angel Dust was all over Southie and Charlestown.

The only drugs Whitey kept out of Southie were the ones he wasn't personally going to profit on.

How a bunch of thieving and murderous rats got so worked up and angry at each other because they got double-crossed by each other.

Yeah. Because the thing you most expect from a bunch of thieving, murderous rats is loyalty? Seriously?
