Dead bird in a lunch bag. This is the second time I've seen and reported something like this occurring on this block.

It's just common courtesy

is the person just coming upon a lunch bag on the ground, opening it up (for why?) and then finding a dead bird? Twice yet?

It just seems really strange to me but I don't go 'round picking up discarded lunch bags, either.

I saw the dead bird on Montebello and it looked to me like it may have had a heart attack and then someone came along and placed a brown paper bag over it to protect the eyes of children. Subsequently, a car likely flattened it making it difficult to discern whether the corpse had been stuck in the bag by a maniac who strangled the bird or whether the bag had been placed over the lifeless body by a thoughtful person who came upon it.

But you are kinda weird. Are you the maniac? Asking for a friend.

Well, since there were 5 comments about something not very important, and because the reason it was posted here is that the complaint is itself questionable and it is possibly absurd to tell the mayor that there is a dead bird on the street and therefore it is humorous, I thought I would attempt to add to that by furthering the conjecture about the poor dead bird I also saw on the sidewalk but about which I did not call the mayor. But I did wonder idly what happened to the bird too. And now I am posting a long comment about it on a website and I think that is kind of funny and spins the silliness of a complaint to the mayor about a dead bird out just a little further. All of this to say that I am not THE maniac who killed the bird or maybe stuffed it in a brown bag. Maybe the person who did will post a comment? Then we will know even more about a thing that truly nobody cares about.
