Dave Bernstein: “#CharGofuckyourselves”.

Boston Magazine's David Bernstein wanted to apologize for his tweet that he sent out poking fun at Former Boston Mayoral Candidate Charlotte Golar Richie on election night:

Election night, I was at the loud and crowded Marty Walsh event, where I saw but didn't really hear Richie's concession speech on screen. And knowing that by the end of the campaign she was pretty annoyed at a lot of her critics (myself included), I tweeted what I intended as a joke about what Richie really wanted to say to everybody, which I sent as: “#CharGofuckyourselves”.

In hindsight, this was a pretty lame and stupid thing to tweet without any context. (I thought the plural would show that it wasn't directed at her; I didn't think that it could be seen as directed toward her whole staff.) Words matter, and my carelessness with these words was inappropriate. It was a bad tweet, and I apologize.

At least Bernstein has the guts to admit something that many of us have always known that he can be a "real prick."

Why don't you apologize to Dan Farnkoff for publishing his name as mine not once, but three times in the Herald, "Roslindale Ronnie"? Go away , Doug, no one here is buying what you're selling and you've become nothing but the punchline to a very bad joke.
