The day ended quietly

In dreamland on the Orange Line

The day started with loud, happy crowds; as Connie Chan shows, it ended with a man alone with his dreams, on the floor of a hurtling Orange Line car.

As of 6:45 p.m. yesterday, Boston Police say, officers had issued 336 citations for drinking in public along the St. Patrick's Day parade route - and made 26 arrests, mainly for disorderly conduct.

did the person who took this pic do anything to help this kid?

This is New England, so,

This is New England, so, probably not.

There is an old adage, which I just made up, among Orange Line commuters: let sleeping drunks lie.

And let heroin addicts nod.

And let heroin addicts nod.

Now that guy looks like

the most interesting man in the world.

Just a new use of floors?

On the Red Line a fellow was sitting on the floor while his girlfriend was either picking lice off his head or was just brushing his hair. I didn't see her eating the lice so she was probably was just picking his hair.

Only 26 arrests?

I saw 26 disorderly people in one house party where I used their alley as a urinal.
