Dozen men now charged with January beatdown in Park Square garage

Eight more men were arraigned today for their alleged part in a January brawl at the Transportation Building garage that sent several people to the hospital.

Four men had earlier been charged for their alleged fists of fury.

According to the DA's office:

[T]he defendants and four others were among a large group of men who attacked three men and three women inside a parking garage at 10 Park Plaza after a verbal dispute at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 27. At the time of the assault, the victims were leaving the parking garage after celebrating a friend’s birthday.

As a result of the attack, a 24-year-old Brookline man suffered a concussion, a separated shoulder, chipped teeth, a hand injury, and numerous cuts and bruises. A 22-year-old man from East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and a 23-year-old Warwick, Rhode Island, man each suffered head and facial injuries. One of the female victims, a 24-year-old Boston woman, suffered a hand injury. The assailants fled prior to the arrival of police, but the altercation was captured on video, prosecutors said.

Arraigned today on charges of assault and battery, disorderly conduct and affray: Dennis Choi, 27, Taylor Dang, 26, and Christopher Tran, 27, all of Quincy, Dung Hoang, 30, and Sang Van Suynh, 28, both of Dorchester, Duy Hynh, 22, of Malden, Than Quank Nguyen, 23, of Everett and Tam Thanh Phan, 28, of South Dennis.

Judge Robert J. McKenna released all of the defendants on their own recognizance and ordered them to stay away from the victims in this case.
