East Boston full of firefighters this morning

Alert New England and Alex Jones report Massport and Boston firefighters are battling a stubborn electrical fire in a battery compartment of a JAL Dreamliner on the ground at the airport.

The Boston Fire Department reports a technician walking through the plane after it had landed and passengers had deplaned noticed smoke, eventually traced to the compartment on the plane's underside.

Separately, hazmat crews and the Boston Police bomb squad responded to Horace Street, where somebody was thought to have committed suicide with a potentially dangerous chemical or gas. BFD hazmat crews determined no public hazard existed and turned the matter over to BPD.
