The Herald reports the BRA last night approved plans for a $305-million, 350-apartment complex on the site of an old McDonald's on Boylston Street.

I was wondering what would be more profitable than a McDonald's with a big parking lot in that neighborhood.

has announced that to further the revitalization of the Fens that they will not be renewing the permits for the vendors along Yawkey Way, which will be cleared as of springtime.

This is coming after numerous complains of noise and "fun" going on down there by sleepy, well respected luxury condo owners.

Nothing good happens on city streets after all, especially when the concierge can deliver everything to your door. One resident was quoted as saying "the appearance of street vendors drives down property values and reminded us of the proletariat of last century. They're loud, unsightly, and force me to keep my balcony doors closed to get an ounce of quiet. This is not what I paid good money in the city for".
