Good news, traditionalists: Proposed Italian restaurant in South Boston won't be called Sobo Bistro
By adamg on Fri, 11/15/2013 - 11:58am
The Globe reports Michael Norton is only using "Sobo Bistro" as a placeholder until he comes up with a better name for the Italian restaurant he wants to open at L and Broadway.
The Boston Licensing Board yesterday took no action on his request for a beer and wine license. Norton said Tuesday that, if need be, he would open the restaurant, inside what is now a shuttered electrician's shop, without alcohol. To do that, he'll need to request a new hearing before the board for a food-only license.
