Hot winds make hot mess in Back Bay

High winds yesterday proved too much for several trees in Boston (or as the Globe put it: More than 3 trees), including this one on Comm. Ave. between Dartmouth and Exeter in the Back Bay.

"More than 3 trees..."

I feel like picketing the Globe's HQ, holding a sign that reads "THE END IS NEAR."

Claymoss Road; Globe tally holds steady at "more than 3."

Someone looking for this downed tree on Claymoss was not going to find it, because it was actually on Euston.

(This also explains why, when I heard over the scanner that Claymoss was closed, that traffic kept coming down Ransom which can only (legally) be reached via Claymoss. Must have been Euston which was actually closed. Ah the land of one way streets, all going the wrong way...)

When is the city and state going to do something? We need to stop this tree slaughter. For the children.
