The Hub of the Universe's Trash of the Universe

Somebody is kind of unhappy with the people renting houseboats at Lewis Wharf in the North End:

The folks renting these trashy houseboats are indeed the Trash of the Universe.

So it's the rich peoples' version of a trailer park?

It goes:

You're obviously just envious of the lifestyle. You're secretly sick of Krug and foie gras, and are dying to join your new neighbors for Slim Jims and canned Bud Lite. Alas, you recognize that a gulf of privilege and self-entitlement separates you from your object of longing. You will never partake of their plebeian joys, and so you seethe, hating their carefree, budget-priced bliss. "Trash”' you mutter, "Trash!", as a silent tear slides down your cheek. Alas!

Why do I get the impression that Special Mr. Robert Forehead has never in his life been near a real trailer park?

Maybe because I lived in trailer courts for 17 year and know that people who live in close proximity in thin-walled "buildings" on land they don't own with rules they don't make generally don't act like this, either? Not even the drug dealers?

Used to know someone living down there and he was hardly "trashy". Just a young professional who managed to find a cheaper alternate living space in a prime location. Perhaps that is what makes the poster so bitter, he paid 10X what they are paying.

Perhaps there is one or two party boats in the mix, or someone who isn't maintaining their houseboat so it looks bad. But you can't lump them all together.

People who got sucked in to paying unreasonably high prices for "luxury" condos complain about everything (see Citizens Connect). "There's grass growing in the cracks of the sidewalk, there's a bunch of druggies hanging in front of the methadone clinic, I can't walk my dog from the South End to South Boston etc. etc."
Now let's complain about the people living around us.
The City could raise more revenue by selling a book with the
Best of Citizens Connect.

From trailer parks I've seen, residents often sink surplus housing money into vehicles, often full-sized pickup trucks, muscle cars, Harleys, ATVs, snowmobiles, and jet skis. Does the white trash at Lewis Wharf get parking spaces for all their toys?

I'd give Mr. F a run for his money.
