Like many of us, the Red Line train just didn't want to get out of bed this morning

The very first dead-train alert of the morning showed up at 5:23 a.m. for a train at Ashmont that just refused to throw off the covers and get up (and it was followed not long after by a similar report of a recalcitrant trolley at Coolidge Corner).

It is FREEZING out and that alone is a good reason, in BOSTON, to have a train die.

Don't you understand that FREEZING TEMPS mean it's okay for the T to not run?

that if it's below 45 or over 75 the trains break down, and if it's precipitating, it's going to take 10-20 extra minutes. They're the Little Engines that Can't.

It's going to get a lot worse before it ever gets better. (At least we hope it gets better -- MBTA, please don't go with Ansaldo Breda or Hyundai Rotem)
