The firefight between the two suspects and police happened right outside Andrew Kitzenberg's house.
After witnessing shots being fired I promptly ran up the stairs to my 3rd floor bedroom to distance myself a little further away from the gunfire. As I ran into my room, overwhelmed by shock, adrenaline, and curiosity, I jumped onto my bed to stay below the windows but also have a clear view at the shooters and photograph the event. As soon as I was laying safely on my bed I started taking pictures with my iPhone 5 and captured the following images that documented the terrifying shootout with the Tsarnaev brothers, which then led to an overnight citywide manhunt.

I suspect the conspiracy theorists are miffed because this jibes with the official telling of the story.
Note to self: in the unlikely event of a shoot out, set camera device to simply snap every few seconds and get away from the walls. Yikes!

Good for a pinch, but image if he had a DLSR, tripod, and wide good angle lens?
Set and forget and get the hell away from the window.
But if you scroll halfway down...
...you'll see the roommate's chair. Round went through the wall and the chair. The location of the hole in the chair is not good.
Seems like walls aren't good enough. So, cast iron radiators, filing cabinets, book cases, anything that will slow down the penetration is good.
Remember boys and girls, it's OK to cower in fear if there's a FUCKING JOHN WAYNE MOVIE GOING ON OUTSIDE.
