Report: Flaherty to try to get back onto council

The Herald reports former at-large Councilor Michael Flaherty will run for an at-large seat, rather than for mayor.

Boston City Council is run by a Staff Director and a 100 or so staff. There are few among the staff knowledgeable about new technology and software that makes it easier for people to interact with the City Council. Communications at Boston City Council are poor. Agendas are too difficult to understand with many Docket items obscured by numerical references. There is a lot hidden from ready access easily. Intimidation is the general attitude toward any asking for public records of Boston City Council.

I for one will donate to his campaign. Flaherty, unlike Felix, Connelley and "Mini Me" (Consalvo)stood up to Mumbles prior to his announced departure. He is a solid candidate and a all around stand-up guy who can form his own opinion and be vocal even when it not in-line with the colleagues.

It's obvious the Baby "Fats" (I mean Flats) is running for one reason and one reason only: He needs a job.

The voters rejected Flaherty in 2009. AND when he tried to reclaim a seat on the council, he voters AGAIN said NO to Flaherty and rejected him again in 2011.

Flaherty is doing it for all the wrong reasons. He lusts for power and he needs a job.

Flaherty needs to learn a lesson from Menino and no when it's time to quit and let others have an opportunity.

Flaherty is going down like an old boxer who doesn't know when to quit.

Flaherty is pathetic.
