Teen badly injured in Arborway crash being treated in Atlanta; friends organize fundraiser

Friends of Mark Delamere are organizing a Hypnotist Night fundraiser Saturday night to help his family with the costs of recuperating from the spinal-cord injuries he suffered in a September crash on the Arborway that put one driver into a coma, sent four other people to the hospital and led to criminal charges against the driver of the SUV Delamere was in.

Delamere is currently at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, which specializes in therapy for spinal-cord injuries.

The fundraiser, put together by the Holy Name Youth Service Project is meant for kids in seventh through twelfth grades and will feature Tommy Vee the Hypnotist, 8-11 p.m. in Holy Name Parish Hall, West Roxbury.

For more info, contact the project at [email protected]. Donations can be made to the Mark Delamere Fund (Acct. 1325370638), Citizens Bank, 1999 Centre St., West Roxbury, MA 02132.
