A Methuen high-school student is being held in lieu of $1 million after police charged him with "communicating a terrorist threat" after he allegedly posted something on his Facebook page about wanting to kill people and outdo the Marathon bombings, the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune reports. Police seized his computer and his Xbox.

Seizing Xbox? Harsh, dude.
An unfortunate combination of ambition and stupidity displayed by the kid.
Xbox
Anything that the kid could have conceivably used to communicate his intentions is fair game. An Xbox is still a communications device, in that it can send, receive, and store text messages (I'm not sure if it can link up with email... I'm behind on more than a few updates. If it can, then that gives an even better motive to seize.)
English grammar
"Terroristic Threat"?
What law
Does anyone know what law (statute) this individual is accused of violating?
Under:
MGL. Ch. 269, Section 14
Something about this kid
Something about this kid reminds me a lot of Warren in Empire Records.
