Truckers on parade, anybody know why?

Sarah Connors posted this video of a horn-honking procession of truckers from Cleveland Circle to the Theater District around noon today.

Everyone out walking was unsettled by this. No announcements about it and just scary noises in the distance and traffic jams. Someone needs to think about what this neighborhood has been through before they organize something like this.

You must be afraid of your own shadow, aren't you?

Driving for 3 miles in giant trucks hauling nothing but flags and honking your horns does nothing to honor anyone - noise pollution and air pollution their only contribution.

I'm more concerned about Sarah Connors publicizing her whereabouts. What if Arnold was in town?

Think of it like a Critical Mass outing, but obeying traffic laws. Or like a Memorial Day parade with various trucks, not just fire trucks with lots of lights and very loud sirens.

I think the drive was good to remind that trucks are vehicles too with rights to use the road.

I saw the truckers parade passing through Watertown Square around 1230PM. I question the purpose too. It's not like the public had notice the trucks would be coming through, so no one was on the street waiting for them to pass. Rather is was just one cop hurrying to get to the intersection to control traffic, and curious onlookers. And a lot of trucks making a lot of noise and wasting a lot of gas.
