Why can't Brigham's and Dane Cook be switched?

One of them is at least somewhat beloved in this area and is going away, while the other is Dane Cook.

Anyone bummed to miss the Dane cook show could go buy a Cosby or Louis ck album and hear a lot of the same jokes told better
So what you're saying...
Is that you want to give Dane Cook a SuFi (sue-figh)?
Whoosh...
Is the sound of that comment whizzing over my head.
Brighams
I had no idea there were even any Brigham's left at all after that last sad one on High Street unceremoniously closed. I remember when they were as ubiquitous in Boston as Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts are now.
A few Brigham's franchisees hung on
including Arlington Heights, and until about 16 months ago, Trapelo Road in Belmont. The same people owned both of these locations. After the Belmont Brigham's closed, it reopened under different ownership as a local ice cream place called Moozy's.
Brigham's in Quincy
One of the last holdouts was Brigham's in Wollaston and it shut down a couple of weeks ago. I wish I could honestly say I'm in mourning over the loss but the truth is that I've lived in Quincy for many years and never gone there.
Brigham's in Quincy - reopening with different name and brands
from the article:
Yes, the Arlington Heights Brighams is still there.
The factory in downtown Arlington is now luxury condos, though.

You're almost right... they're apartments. They included a new storefront also which is a good thing.
Remember their hot fudge? In
Remember their hot fudge? In Watertown Sq. we'd grab a pint of vanilla and a jar of the hot fudge sauce on the way to aunt's house and we'd be in heaven.
You can still buy it at the grocers but nothing tastes like sitting at one of their counters having it all heaped into a sundae glass..
My first thought when I read
My first thought when I read 'Brigham's' was hot fudge... so good! These plastic-y froyo chains are so crappy by comparison.
My grandmas spent 90 years in Newton & Brookline
But due to her age she's living down south with my family. Every year I used to bring her a tub of hot fudge from one of the last Brigham's in Arlington. It really made her day. Guess that tradition is gone :-(
Who is Dane Cook?
n/t
Shortly after Remingtons opened their
"Comedy Vault", they had signs on Boylston Street touting "Dick Doherty is Back".
To which my co-workers and I would ask ourselves "Who the hell is Dick Doherty?"
