Causes remain undetermined for recent fires in Allston, West Roxbury

The cause of a nine-alarm fire on Harvard Terrace in Allston and a five-alarm fire on Lagrange Street in West Roxbury remain "under active investigation," a Boston Fire Department spokesman said this morning.

I thought they determined the 9 alarm was deck grilling?
"Deck grilling"
Not that I've seen - some posters here on UHub determined that the cause was "deck grilling," but I don't think any of them had official standing.
There did seem to be an official statement that the fire originated at the back of the building, possibly on the back porch, but I've seen nothing formal saying that anybody was grilling on a back porch.
If you were an arsonist
Wouldn't this be an obvious place to hide your work? Or, to put something there to hide your work?

Hyde Park 6 Alarm
Don't forget about the suspicious fire in Hyde Park a few weekends back that was in the old paper factory off of River Street and Truman Parkway.
